Name: Merrily C Date: 03/02/10 Message: Looking for a getaway from San Diego... just for the evening? Check out Dobson's. It is just a few steps from Horton Plaza. After a few minutes in this cozy downtown bar, you'll feel like you've landed in Boston, New York or Chicago. Any shortcomings are easily overcome by the ambience and great service. At a place like Dobson's, you might think a new customer would be treated less than a regular. But I felt very welcome. As a visitor, you might be more comfortable among your fellow patrons if you're wearing business attire. Don't come here to watch the game- there are no tv's. But this is the perfect spot to talk business or just have a drink at a place that is neither a dive nor dance club. I am looking forward to re-reviewing Dobson's when I try more of the food and some of the cocktails. Until then... cheers!
